Academics

All academic matters must be channeled through the office of the Vice-Principal for Instructions (VPI). In the absence of the VPI academic matters can be channeled through the office of the Disciplinary Committee.

Grading System

70% is considered the minimum required grade point to make a pass.  Any grade lower than 70% is considered a failing grade.

In a given marking period, evaluation of students is as follows.

  • 95 - 100 - A - Excellent / High Honor

  • 90 - 94 - B - Very ¬†Good / Honor

  • 80 - 89 - C - Good / Credit

  • 75 - 79 - D - Average

  • 70 - 74 - E - Below Average

  • 69 below - F - Failed

Class Activities Grading System

  • Att - Attendance - 5 points
  • CP - Class participation - 5 points
  • Quiz - Quizzes - 15 points each ( 2 quizzes each period )
  • Ass - Assignments - 10 points each ( 2 assignments each period )
  • Per - Period Test - 40 points
  • Total - 100 points
  • Semester exam - 100 points.

In a given semester, evaluation of a student is as follows

  • Marking period grades are averaged and added to the semester’s exam and then divided by two.
  • Any students with incomplete in any given period must settle said before grades are presented to the VIP’s office for distribution to the parent. Failure to do so the student automatically gets 60%. Make-ups must be done the week after the period test or exam, with a written excuse from parents or guardians of the students to the Dean of Students.
